Modern imaging and digital visualization are transforming how surgeons plan and execute refractive cataract procedures—but adoption remains inconsistent.

In this episode of the ESCRS IME video interview series on Simultaneous Vision IOLs, Drs. Andrea Janeková and Francesco Carones discuss how technologies such as swept-source OCT and corneal tomography support more accurate intraoperative planning and lens alignment. Despite their proven value, fewer than half of surgeons use digital visualization tools routinely.

The experts highlight that consistent use of these technologies, combined with appropriate training, can improve refractive precision, streamline surgical workflows, and enhance patient outcomes.
